IPL 2021 – Shikhar Dhawan Doantes for Covid-19: After Sachin Tendulkar, Pat Cummins, Delhi Capitals Shikhar Dhawan has decided to donates for ‘Mission Oxygen’- IPL Orange Cap leader Shikhar Dhawan has donated Rs 20 lakh for ‘Mission Oxygen’ amid COVID-19 battle that has ravaged the country. He further stated that he will also be donating all post-match individual performance awards that he may receive to Mission Oxygen and help fund the requirement of Oxygen. It is notable that Shikhar Dhawan is the leading run-scorer of IPL 2021 and holds the Orange Cap.

He is not the first cricketer to contribute in unprecedented times. Earlier Sachin Tendulkar, Pat Cummins, Jaydev Unadkat, Brett Lee had made their contributions amid Oxygen shortage in India.

On Thursday, Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar contributed Rs 1 crore for Mission Oxygen.

Pat Cummins of Kolkata Knight Riders was the first cricketer to step up amid this unprecedented situation amid COVID-19 second wave in India. He had donated 50,000 dollars.

His countrymen Brett Lee also contributed Rs 40 lakh to PM Care.

Rajasthan Royals bowler Jaydev Unadkat has also donated 10 per cent of his IPL salary.

“I am contributing 10% of my IPL salary towards providing essential medical resources for those in need. My family will make sure it reaches the right places. Jai Hind!” he said on Twitter.

Rajasthan Royals has also donated Rs 1 crore to support the country during such low time.

Delhi Capitals also contributed Rs 1.5 crore.
