IPL 2021: Shubman Gill lights up KKR’s practice games, can he turn around his form in Phase 2?

The IPL 2021 Phase 2 offers Shubman Gill the chance to make his case again as a limited-overs cricketer after a tumultuous last few months. While Gill excelled in his debut tour of Australia, he struggled to keep up, struggling in the IPL 2021 Phase 1 and the WTC final. An injury ruled him out of the series against England, but the 22-year-old is now back fit and looks set to banish the ghosts of his poor form.

IPL 2021: Gill has lit up KKR’s practise games so far, scoring immensely to roar back into form and will be itching to set the record straight when he walks into bat. The 22-year-old has been criticised for his lack of impetus and adventure in the first six overs, and his strike rates have been frustrating for the team management and the fans. Nonetheless, Shubman will hope to showcase his super timing and continue where he left off in the practice games for KKR.
