“Virat Kohli is an experienced captain and a skillful leader. He just likes to take the game on and takes pressure off me. He just compliments my game. That makes my task easier. I can go and hit the deck hard. He fulfills his task so easily that leaves you to do your job in the best possible way. I think that’s the best part of him as captain. Playing along with players, Virat, AB De Villiers and Maxwell  have to be special as they simply take the pressure off you and you do your things can flourish “ Kyle Jamieson told mediapersons through pre pre-match online video conference.
On his own performance and role, the 6’8″ tall fast bowler said: ‘I know my role in the team. My focus is clear from the beginning to get the crucial wickets and use my height to good effect with pace and bounce with variations. I am also focussing on the right length as hard as possible and move the ball both ways. I am also trying to improve my batting as well and batting at lower middle and lower order could be crucial in the shorter form of the game. Bowling alongwith Md Siraj and Harshal Patel have been a really nice experience as both are exceptional talents with very good skill sets.”

On his experience in playing in India so far, Jamieson said: “It has been a challenge playing in India. Skill sets required in Indian pitches are different
from back home (New Zealand). Here we need to use more variations and a wide range of things. Its a good challenge and learning experience. There are good guys around. Quarantine week has been pretty okay. Enjoyed a different kind of an experience. So far so good.”
