Who is your favourite batsman?
I admire a lot of batsmen around the world. Obviously, you’ve got, Virat Kohli in all formats, you know he has moved the game forward in a lot of ways. Steve Smith as well as obviously, an amazing batsman. The unique method from which I think everybody can learn things. Always enjoy watching AB de Villers as well.
Favourite match for SRH?
In 2018. we had a really exciting semifinal in Calcutta, which we managed to win. Rashid Khan starring. And that was a special moment to get through.
What do you think about Abdul Samad?
Incredibly talented, has allround capabilities and a real power play. So, you know, I think he has every chance to play international cricket. However, he is still young, and I’m sure he’s very excited to continue to improve and perform.

Feeling after making debut for New Zealand?
I mean, it’s an amazing feeling, something unexpected, really. You know, you’re always just trying to contribute to the team that you’re in and trying to improve. To get the phone call that you are potentially gonna make your debut. The New Zealand squad was pretty special and then to make my debut especially against India alongside a lot of Indian stars that I’ve grown up admiring was added element to my debut that I’ll never forget.
