IPL 2021- SRH vs RCB: Glenn Maxwell once again shines for RCB, smashes fifty on difficult Chennai track- Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Glenn Maxwell on Wednesday continued his top form against Sunrisers Hyderabad on a difficult Chennai track as other batsmen like AB De Villiers (1) and Virat Kohli (33) failed to impress. He ended up scoring 59 runs off just 41 balls which featured 5 boundaries and 3 sixes. He was the top scorer for RCB, helping the side post 149/8 in their 20 overs after sent in to bat first.
“It’s a very nice start, new franchise for me and they have given me a specific role. To start like this is really nice. It’s nice to have batters behind you, you have freedom and that’s almost close to the role I have in the Australian cricket team. It’s just about using the experience. Get myself in and then go for the runs. Probably having those guys behind me is a luxury at RCB. I suppose the coaching effect is there to an extent as well. Obviously my 4th IPL team and there’s a bit of pressure,” Maxwell said post-match after 6-run victory over SRH.
