IPL 2021– SRH vs RCB: Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli reprimanded for breaching IPL Code of Conduct- RCB captain Virat Kohli has been reprimanded for breaching the VIVO Indian Premier League’s (IPL) Code of Conduct during his team’s match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.

Mr Kohli admitted to the Level 1 offence 2.2 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct.

For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding.

He was seen fuming after getting out for just 33 runs off 29 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad. His innings was comprised of four boundaries.  He showed his angry side by hitting the bat on a boundary fence and a chair on his way to the pavilion. Kohli’s wicket meant that RCB were 93-3 in 12.1 overs.

In the match, Kohli had built a decent partnership of 44 runs for the third wicket with Glenn Maxwell, but at the beginning of the 13th over, he pulled a short delivery from Jason Holder straight to Vijay Shankar in the deep, who took a scintillating catch on the run.

In a similar incident against RCB in IPL 2016, then Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) captain Gautam Gambhir was docked 15 per cent of match fees.
