IPL 2021: SRH’s new recruits Jadhav, Suchith, Mujeeb share experience after joining; Check video

IPL 2021|Kedar Jadhav, Suchith and Mujeeb share their experience after joining SRH | Sunrisers Hyderabad with just Rs 10.75 crore in the purse did not have much to play with at the mini-auction ahead of the 2021 Indian Premier League. They retained their core and had a place for just one overseas player and three Indians from the auction that took place in Grand Chola in Chennai on Thursday. After remaining a spectator for the most part. With just three players, Hyderabad completed their shopping when others were busy fighting to get their chosen ones.

The three players — Kedar Jadhav, an experienced batsman, who could help in bowling as well, found a place in the SRH squad. For Rs 2 crore, many would think that SRH overspent on him, but his experience in the middle-order could be of great help.

“Happy and excited to be part of Sunrisers Hyderabad team this year. I want to thank you for showing faith in me,” Jadhav said.

The other one to be picked was Karnataka spinner Jagadeesha Suchith. The youngster who has remained in the shadows of Krishnappa Gowtham and Shreyas Gopal hasn’t managed to impress in the IPL. After playing 13 matches for Mumbai Indians in 2015, he has played just two more — once in 2016 and the other one in 2019. Punjab Kings released him before the auction. But Hyderabad bagged him for Rs 30 lakh after an attempt from Punjab Kings.

“Very happy to be picked by Sunrisers Hyderabad and I would like to thank the franchise for picking me this auction. Very excited to meet the team and can’t wait for the next edition to start,” the all-rounder said.

The other one was 19-year-old Mujeeb Ur Rahman who fulfilled SRH’s overseas quota. The spinner has already been a revelation. Now he will join his Afghanistan teammates Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi. In him, Hyderabad have found a bowler who would not give away too many runs. If picked in the playing XI, he could be a great asset for the team.

“Excited to play for Riser Army next IPL season. I will play together with my bowling partner Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi. Thank you to the Riser Army fans for supporting. Happy to be part of the Riser Army. Thank you,” he said in a video message.
