IPL 2021: SRH’s Rashid Khan nails MS Dhoni helicopter shot – Watch Video – Sunrisers Hyderabad star Rashid Khan showed a glimpse of what is about to come in the IPL 2021 Phase 2 after helping Surrey to clinch a semi-final berth in the T20 Blast. The Afghanistan superstar chipped in with a brilliant cameo to seal the game against Yorkshire, blasting a nine-ball 27-run cameo to pull off a seemingly unthinkable chase. During the innings, Rashid nailed the helicopter shot, synonymous with CSK legend MS Dhoni over the years.

Rashid Khan has nailed the helicopter shot yet again as he helped Surrey to a nail-biting win over Yorkshire in the T20 Blast. Batting at No.6, the Afghanistan star walked in with his team needing 43 off 21, and got right into the job, with a trademark whip of the wrists to start off in the 18th over of the innings. Khan walked down the track to smash Thompson over the long-on boundary, a shot similar to MS Dhoni’s trademark helicopter shot, which has been a feature of the former Indian captain’s exploits.
This isn’t the first time Rashid Khan has tried and nailed the helicopter shot. Earlier in the T20 Blast, the SRh star had nailed the shot to perfection, while has also pulled it off in his stints across various T20 Leagues, including the Big Bash League. Rashid Khan’s form will be of keen interest to Sunrisers Hyderabad, who will hope that the Afghanistan superstar can carry it to the UAE for IPL 2021. SRH have struggled to add finishing touches to their innings in the past, but Rashid’s exploits could open up a new avenue for the Kane Williamson led side, who are languishing at the bottom of the points table.
