IPL 2021: SRH’s Wriddhiman Saha and Khaleel Ahmed engage in banter while playing carrom – Watch Video- Life in bio-bubbles hasn’t been easy. Players see the same face every day and cannot go out of the team hotels. Sunrisers Hyderabad’s (SRH) Indian duo of Wriddhiman Saha and Khaleel Ahmed somehow managed to distract themselves from the mundane routines ahead of IPL 2021. The duo placed a bet around a carrom game with the winner needing to take the loser out for lunch.

India’s current second-choice wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha won the carrom match and Khaleel Ahmed was eager to get the lunch he was promised. SRH shared Saha’s winning moment on their Twitter handle and how he backed out on his promise.

Tag a friend who owes you lunch for a bet they lost,” SRH tweeted.

But Khaleel was not ready to let it go. “Yes, Saha bhai will take me for the launch because he won,” the left-arm pacer said.

Saha, although, was reluctant as he tried to back off from the promised lunch. “You placed the bet for lunch. You have to take me out,” Saha said.

Ahmed tried to reason, saying, “You won, so you should take me for lunch. The loser is already upset after losing the game.”

Saha then pulled off a cheeky move, calling Ahmed the ‘Baazigar’. But Ahmed wasn’t impressed with the movie reference and continued to press on the lunch. It remains to be seen who took him for the lunch, though.

But lunch or not, the duo could play a major role in Sunrisers Hyderabad’s IPL 2021 campaign. Furthermore, it will be a crucial season for both. Saha did not get many chances last season with Jonny Bairstow preferred with the big gloves. But Saha, back from injury and fit again, is raring to prove his doubters wrong. A good IPL campaign could also keep him in the running for a place in the national team.

As for Ahmed, after a breakout IPL 2019 season, he did not live up to the expectation last time. Eight wickets from seven matches and a 9.42 economy rate kept him out of remained of the season. He has since lost his place in Team India as well. But he could be in the reckoning again with some good performances in the IPL 2021.
