IPL 2021 – CSK Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star Suresh Raina is once again ready to follow the footsteps of his captain MS Dhoni. Raina who retired from interantional cricket just within hours of Dhoni announced his retirement is again ready to do thr same in IPL.

IPL 2021 – CSK Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni: Raina has made a bold claim suggesting that he will follow captain MS Dhoni into retirement if the Indian cricket legend doesn’t return to the IPL next year. Dhoni and Raina have been inseparable over the years playing together for Team India and CSK, forging a strong alliance in the middle order of both teams. However, with Dhoni now entering his 40s was woefully out of form with the bat in IPL 2021 and speculation persists regarding his future in the IPL, with a mega auction around the corner.

“If Dhoni doesn’t play the IPL next year, then I will also not play. We have played together since 2008. And, if we win the IPL this year, I will convince him to play the next season as well”, declared Raina.

IPL 2021 – CSK Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni: Speaking to News 24, Raina made a startling claim that his IPL future was dependant on that of CSK captain MS Dhoni. Raina, who turns 35 this November said that he will hang up his boots if the former Indian captain doesn’t return after IPL 2021.

“Two new teams will be coming in next season but I want to keep playing for CSK. I hope we do well in this tournament, then we will see how things go.”

IPL 2021 – CSK Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni: Raina paid a rich tribute to his captain on his 40th birthday, sharing a video montage of their time together at CSK and the Indian cricket team. Dhoni and Raina have been the pillars of the three-time champions since 2008, and have played all their IPL cricket together barring the two seasons where Chennai were suspended from the league. Once the most capped player in IPL, Raina had withdrawn from IPL 2020 due to personal reasons. He was retained for IPL 2021 and made his comeback for CSK this season.

Raina will travel to the UAE for the 2nd phase of IPL 2021, which kicks off in middle of the September
