IPL 2021: Chennai Super Kings Lungi Ngidi left for home after the Board of Cricket in India (BCCI) decided to suspend IPL 2021 indefinitely due to multiple Covid-19 reports including two in CSK camp. The fast bowler boarded the Qatar Airways en route to South Africa. During his long flight journey, Ngidi shared with fans what he did while in mid-air. He took to Instagram and shared a safety video featuring footballer Robert Lewandowski, Cafu amongst others.

What is the video about?

Qatar Airways had in 2019, unveiled its latest inflight safety video, featuring current and former football players including Brazil’s Neymar Jr.

The video is set in a locker room, and sees PSG star Neymar guiding Q Suite passengers, while Poland’s captain and Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski demonstrates how to use a life jacket.

IPL 2021: Eight England cricketers have reached home

Eight England players returned to London on Wednesday. Hours after the lucrative cricket league was suspended on Tuesday because of India’s Covid-19 crisis, the English members of the Delhi Capitals squad rushed to Delhi from Ahmedabad to catch a flight to Heathrow.

Jonny Bairstow (SunRisers Hyderabad), Jos Buttler (Rajasthan Royals), Sam Curran (Chennai Super Kings), Tom Curran (Delhi Capitals), Sam Billings (Delhi Capitals), Chris Woakes (Delhi Capitals), Moeen Ali (Chennai Super Kings) and Jason Roy (SunRisers Hyderabad) are the eight players who arrived in the UK on Wednesday, reported Sky Sports.

These eight players will now have to quarantine in government-approved hotels for 10 days, as the UK had listed India as a ‘red list’ country. The remaining three England players in India are — Chris Jordan, Dawid Malan, and Eoin Morgan.

Over the course of the last two days, two KKR players Varun Chakravarthy and Sandeep Warrier tested positive for Covid-19. CSK’s bowling coach L Balaji, batting coach Mike Hussey and one bus cleaner also tested positive for the virus.
