IPL 2021: Universe Boss Chris Gayle enjoys underwater work-out in Maldives, shares video- Punjab Kings explosive batsman Chris Gayle is enjoying his vacation in the Maldives after the suspension of IPL 2021 due to rising case of COVID-19 in India and breach of bio-bubble created for IPL by BCCI. Gayle, who also likes to call himself Universe Boss has shared a video of him enjoying work-out under the water.

In the video, Gayle can be seen doing push-ups and squats in the middle of the sea under the water. Gayle can also be seen swimming around with fishes.

Gayle who is playing at number three for Punjab Kings had a below-average season this year with only 178 runs in eight games. However, he maintained his power-hitting standards by striking the ball at a 133.83 rate. His average was 25.42 and he could not score a single fifty in IPL 2021.

IPL 2021 Suspended

The IPL Governing Council and BCCI in an emergency meeting unanimously decided to postpone IPL 2021 season, with immediate effect on Tuesday. The BCCI does not want to compromise on the safety of the players, support staff and the other participants involved in organising the IPL. This decision was taken keeping the safety, health and wellbeing of all the stakeholders in mind. The BCCI has admitted that it will do everything in its powers to arrange for the secure and safe passage of all the participants in IPL 2021.
