IPL 2021 Phase 2 – RCB UAE Plans: Royal Challengers Bangalore will leave for the UAE on August 29 to begin preparations for their remaining matches of IPL 2021. The group will assemble in Bengaluru by August 21 and will undergo 7 days of quarantine. The Bengaluru camp will comprise Indian players and will undergo regular COVID-19 tests before entering a bio-secure bubble. Captain Virat Kohli will be directly flying from London to UAE on September 15th to join the team.

IPL 2021: Royal Challengers Bangalore to leave for UAE on August 29, Indian players to assemble in Bengaluru today

IPL 2021 Phase 2 – RCB UAE Plans: The team will then leave for UAE via a charter flight. Upon arriving in Dubai, they will further undergo 6-day quarantine. In the desert country, they will be joined by Head Coach Mike Hesson and other foreign players. Skipper Virat Kohli will be arriving after completing the England series days before IPL 2021 Phase 2 starts on September 19.

The other international players and staff will assemble in the UAE starting 29th August onwards. There will be another 6 days of quarantine in the UAE.

Meanwhile, players have already started assembling in Bengaluru with Yuzvendra Chahal amongst Indian stars posting pictures on their social media accounts.

Talking about the changes in the team, Mike Hesson – Director of Cricket Operations, Royal Challengers Bangalore, said, “We have made some changes to the squad pertaining to the situation. We have come a long way and have shown steady progress as a team. The addition of Wanindu Hasaranga, Tim David and Dushmantha Chameera couldn’t have come at a better time during the replacement window, as we aim to continue with the momentum, building on our performance from earlier this year.”

Royal Challengers Bangalore resumes Season 14 of the IPL on 20th September 2021 as they square off against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
