IPL 2021: Who are the Batsmen with most Sixes and Fours in this season – The 14th edition of the Indian Premier League has got off to a great start. In just three weeks, there are plenty of things to talk about. As many as two batsmen have managed to hit a century in this season so far. IPL 2021 has seen numerous sixes with KL Rahul, Jonny Bairstow and Ambati Rayudu leading the leaderboard. While some players rely on sixes for run-scoring, some do it with classic ground shots. They are Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw, Faf du Plessis, Ambati Rayudu and Kieron Pollard. 

Jos Buttler on Sunday slammed his first T20 century while playing against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. He completed the milestone in 56 balls. In his innings, he struck 10 fours and 5 sixes. After this knock, he is in the fifth spot on the list.

On Saturday. Kieron Pollard broke into the most sixes hitter list in IPL 2021 after smashing 8 sixes out of the park against CSK to clinch a historic win by 4 wickets.

Most Sixes

  • KL Rahul

Another classic batsman, who believes in playing proper textbook cricket shot, finds his name in this list. Punjab Kings captain KL Rahul has smashed 16 sixes in this season so far in seven matches that he has played. KL is also second in the list of highest run-scorer with 331 runs in the season.

  • Jonny Bairstow

Sunrisers Hyderabad opener Jonny Bairstow is in the second spot on the list with 15 sixes in six games. The English batsman has scored 248 runs for Men in Orange, at an extraordinary average of 41.33. In the league where players like Glenn Maxwell, AB de Villers and Andre Russell are playing Jonny with his traditional cricketing shots tops the list of most sixes.

  • Ambati Rayudu After hitting seven sixes in the game against Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings batsman Ambati Rayudu jumped to the third spot in this list. While scoring 136 runs in IPL 2021 Rayudu has smashed 13 sixes so far. In the match against MI, Rayudu batted with a strike rate of over 260.

Shikhar Dhawan Most Fours

Delhi Capitals Shikhar Dhawan tops the chart with the most number of fours by a player in this season so far. The talisman batsman, who bats in the powerplay overs, has excelled in the ability to find gaps and is backed by the terrific form that he is in right now. Shikhar has smashed 37 fours while scoring 311 runs in seven games for Delhi Capitals and averages above 44.42 in the season.

  • Prithvi Shaw

Shikhar Dhawan’s partner Prithvi Shaw is ranked second in the list of most boundaries scored by a batsman in IPL 2021 so far. After a brilliant batting display in the last game against Kolkata Knight Riders, Prithvi jumped above Faf and Ruturaj Gaikwad in the list. The DC opener has so far hit 34 fours while scoring 269 runs at an explosive strike rate of 165.03. 

  • Faf du Plessis

With as many as 28 fours in seven games, Faf du Plessis has jumped to the third spot in this list. The South African talisman has scored over 300 runs this season with the help of four back to back fifty-plus scores.
