Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh is looking forward to reading Suresh Raina’s memoir after the book was released in May. The book recounts Rain’s journey as a cricketer and details the challenges he faced as a young cricketer and the bonds he made over the years. The 34-year-old hung up his boots last year but will be featuring for MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2021, which will resume in the UAE in September.
Suresh Raina released his memoir detailing his experiences over the years as an international cricketer and his journey with the sport. Titled, Believe: What Life and Cricket Taught Me, it is co-written by journalist and author Bharat Sundaresan and was published by Penguin Random House India. The Chennai Super Kings star’s memoir features the many learnings he gathered from senior Indian cricketers like Rahul Dravid, MS Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh, Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar, all of which helped him on and off the field.

IPL 2021: Yuvraj Singh grabbed his copy and wished Suresh Raina well on his journey. Singh and Raina were long-time teammates and were part of the 2011 squad which won the World Cup, with Yuvi winning the Man of the tournament. Yuvraj Singh took to Twitter and posted a picture of him reading Suresh Raina’s book, and wrote that he was “looking forward to reading it.”
While Raina has quit international cricket, he will continue to ply his trade in the domestic scene and will feature in the IPL 2021. The left-hander has opted out of the edition last year due to personal reasons but returned to the franchise earlier this year before the competition was suspended amidst the pandemic. Raina is sweating it out in preparation for IPL 2021 and will hope to make it count especially with Chennai Super Kings set to miss out a couple of stars due to national team duties.
