IPL Auction 2021: CSK, MI, DC, KKR, SRH, RCB, RR and KXIP beware as these six players are on the ‘suspect action’ list-With less than 24 hours left ahead of the IPL 2021 the auction, all the IPL teams are gearing to make bolder moves at the auctions table. Every team will be eyeing to buy key players to fill their loopholes in their bid for IPL 2021 title. A lot of teams produce new stars from the domestic circuit in the Indian Premier League and this year too will not be different. But there is a big concern regarding six players who are suspected of their bowling action, something that franchises should keep in mind.
List of suspected action players
The BCCI has informed the franchises that there are six players – all Indians – in the suspect action and only one of them – Armaan Jaffer of Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA)- is banned from bowling. Others in the suspect action list are Apoorv Wankhede (VCA), Smit Patel (BCA), Latest Patel (BCA), Jay Bista (CAU) and Azim Kazi (MACA). No overseas player is in the dubious list.
“Those in the ‘suspect’ list will be allowed to bowl but would be banned from bowling if reported a second time (sic),” the BCCI said and added that before the start of the IPL, an updated ‘Warning List’ will be released.
Sunil Narine was earlier reported of suspect bowling action in IPL-13.
KKR superstar Sunil Narine was found guilty of suspect bowling action during IPL 2020. IPL’s Suspect Bowling Action Committee had alleged that the all-rounder was found with suspect bowling action while playing against Kings XI Punjab on October 20. After a careful review of the deliveries using slow-motion with back and side angles, the Committee concluded that his elbow-bend appears to be within permissible limits. Thus, it removed him from the IPL Suspect Action Warning List.
