Irfan Pathan will turn up for Gujarat Lions in the Indian Premier League 10. The former India all-rounder has been roped in for Dwayne Bravo, who has not fully recovered from a surgery for an injured hamstring.
Irfan posted his picture on Twitter but soon deleted the tweet sparking off speculations of his impending IPL entry, wearing a Gujarat Lions T-shirt with a message, “looking forward to be a part of this wonderful unit.”
Irfan, once among the most precious Indian cricketers, has gone unsold at the IPL aution earlier this year. The Vadodara all-rounder has 80 wickets and 1,137 IPL runs to his credit from 102 IPL games. Ifran will be turning up for a sixth team in his IPL career, having represented Kings XI Punjab, Delhi Daredevils, Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rising Pune Supergiant.
Gujarat Lions, led by Suresh Raina, have not had a good IPL this season so far. They are currently placed seventh in the eight team league.
