Impact Rank is a methodology devised by Moneyball to rate players on the basis of their performance impact on the match in all aspects – batting, bowling, fielding – of the game. The Impact Rank takes into consideration runs scored, wickets and catches took as well as stumping and run-outs executed by a player.

Impact points are arrived at by applying the formula for performance evaluation. Players earn one point for each run scored, 10 points are allocated for each wicket while catching, stumping and run-out add three points to a players IMPACT RANK.

Last Night performance:

Walking out to bat number three, with more than ten overs to go must have felt weird for Andre Russell.  That explained why he took a little bit of time to find his bearings. Midway through the fourteenth over Russell was 6 from 12 balls. It was at this point he probably thought he had seen enough and it was time to cut loose; his first acts of aggression were back-to-back sixes off Rahul Chahar. He collected boundaries at will and brought up his half-century off 30 balls. In the twentieth over, he got stuck into Lasith Malinga and hit him for two sixes and two fours. Russell finished unbeaten on 80; his 40-ball knock contained six boundaries and eight sixes. Andre Russell bowled four excellent overs; his spell contained a total of 10 dot balls, and he conceded only two boundaries and took two catches in the last night match.
