Odisha FC have emerged as a reformed unit under their new identity and at their new home, leaving behind the team’s struggle as Delhi Dynamos until last year. They will be formidable opponents for the defending champions, who will be led by India’s biggest football icon Sunil Chhetri in their own den. Odisha are well poised to edge past third placed Bengaluru FC and join table toppers ATK and FC Goa with 24 points apiece.
Bengaluru might not have been able to match the football they have played last season, but they have been a hard nut to crack at home. The will be drawing strength from their form at home in the bid to halt the Odisha FC juggernaut, who will go into the match with four consecutive wins.
Head to head, both the teams have own six matches each from their respective 13 outings. Hosts Bengaluru FC at a point ahead for having lost a game lesser and drawn one more – four and three respectively.
Bengaluru are also lined up to top the table if they managed to pull up a win against Odisha FC.
