ISL 2020-21: 3 Ex-Chennaiyin heroes to stand in Jamsehedpur FC’s dugout tonight; Know who they are

ISL 2020-21: Jamshedpur FC vs Chennaiyin FC: Chennaiyin fans will find not one, but three of their former heroes in the opposing dugout when theeir team takes on Jamshedpur FC in the Indian Super League Season 7 at the Tilak Maidan Stadium here. Know who they are.

Nerijus Valskis

ISL 2019 Golden Boot winner Nerijus Valskis will be turning out for Jamshedpur FC after he changed colours from Chennaiyin FC ahead of the ongoing season.

He led his former club to the ISL league final scoring fifteen goals and six assists, and all of his goals came through open play. These exploits in his debut ISL season have left all Indian football fans in awe with his abilities.

Laldinliana Renthlei

Laldinliana Renthlei, popularly known as Dinliana, signed for Jamshedpur FC as the club continues to build a strong and competent squad for the ongoing ISL 2020.

The 22-year-old Mizo right-back is quick and strong and was a revelation under Owen Coyle last season. He was one of the top right-backs in ISL last season and can also slot in as a left-back. He was an important cog in the machinery which finished as runners-up in the ISL 2019-20 and was also a crucial member of the squad that finished runners-up in the AIFF Super Cup 2019.

With Owen Cole taking over the reins at Jamshedpur FC, Dinliana will one again be an interesting prospect to watch out in ISL season 7.

Owen Coyle, who was the mastermind behind last season’s stunning recovery that saw Chennaiyin go from rock bottom to within a game of the ISL title. But over the summer, he made the decision to sign for Jamshedpur FC, taking along with him last season’s joint top-scorer and golden boot winner Nerijus Valskis. Also joining Coyle was Mizo defender Laldinliana Renthlei, who wore Chennaiyin’s blue for a couple of seasons.
