ISL 2020-21 Bengaluru FC vs Hyderabad FC : BFC’s search for win continues after Hyderabad holds Chhetri’s men to a 0-0 draw

ISL 2020-21 Bengaluru FC vs Hyderabad Full Time: 0-0; A very good defensive play by both the sides. The defenders dominated the show as the strikers found it tough to find the back of the net. It was the same story in the second half as well. The teams just lacked the final pass. Both had a few openings but none of them could create a clear cut chance. HFC were probably the better team throughout but one has to say, it is a fair result in the end.

HFC coach Manolo Marquez: I thought before the game a point would be important. But with the way we played, I felt we were the better side. We could have won but the injuries came at a wrong time. We can only confirm the extent after seeing the scan reports. I’m happy with the performance of all my players and we can only move forward from here. Hopefully, I have a full squad to choose from.

BFC coach Carles Cuadrat: All of us want to play for three points and we thought we should have won. Lots of chances were created in the second half but we weren’t clinical upfront.Dimas Delgado didn’t start because he suffered an injury in pre-season and still isn’t fully fit. I’m not worried that we don’t have a win yet because the players in our squad are top quality and there’s a very long season ahead.

Here is the Bengaluru FC vs Hyderabad FC Live Commentary

Full Time: A pretty scrappy second half comes to an end with both the sides splitting the points from this encounter. There were only half-chances for both sides with Aridane Santana failing to make use of a fine cross from a Hitesh Sharma while Subrata Paul dropped the ball from a Cleiton Silva cross but his defenders came to the rescue. In the end, only Aridane Santana’s powerful header which forced a brilliant save from Gurpreet Singh Sandhu seems to be a real chance at goal for both the sides. Bengaluru FC and Carles Cuadrat have a lot to ponder upon as they failed to create any opportunities while Manuel Roca will be happy with his team’s defensive effort especially after losing two overseas players in the first-half.
