ISL 2020 bio-bubble fails: Close call for Jamshedpur FC as it survives COVID-19 scare after hotel staff tests positive

ISL 2020 bio-bubble fails: It was a close call for Jamshedpur FC after one hotel staff member inside the bio-bubble tested COVID-19 positive. According to Times of India report, an investigation on the matter was quickly launched after the matter came into light.

“The hotel authorities checked every available footage to check if the bubble was breached but didn’t find anything,” said one source who has been tracking the development, reported TOI.

Following the news, players and officials were asked to stay in their room where meals were served to them. “The players were worried. The Covid (positive) result was an unwanted distraction,” said another source, added TOI.

Jamshedpur heaved a sigh of relief after all its players and official tested COVID-19 negative. The team continued their training session.

They are placed sixth in the ISL points table with seven games. They will play FC Goa on Wednesday.
