International Olympic Committee is mulling over the possibilities of executive joint sponsorship deals with potential associates for the Paris 2014 and Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
IOC and respective organising committees for the Paris and Los Angeles Games will also explore the possibility.
International Olympic Committee’s executive director for the Olympic Games, Christophe Dubi has revealed that joint sponsorship deals could be signed to cover both the Paris 2024 and Los Angeles 2028 summer Olympics.
“It (joint deals) is something we have to discuss between the IOC and both sides,” French newspaper L’Equipe has quoted Dubi as saying at a two-day Orientation Seminar in Paris.
The first meeting of the Paris 2024 Coordination Commission is scheduled for June 18-19 next year. Dubi has also shared that the Los Angeles 2028 OC members will also attend the meeting. and Dubi said that representatives from Los Angeles 2028 would attend.
The organising committees for the two events will also explore the possibility of collaboration on procurement, Dubi said.
Paris and Los Angeles were awarded the Games during the IOC Session in the Peruvian capital of Lima in September.
