Kajaria Ceramics, among the most prominent brands to have on-ground presence during India’s international cricket matches at home, will also be visible on-air during New Zealand Cricket teams tour of India, starting next week.
The largest tiles manufactures in India is one of the four on-air sponsors for the India-New Zealand cricket series. The host broadcaster Star India has inked the on-air broadcast sponsorship deals with Kajaria, Vimal Paan Masala, Honeywell Air Purifiers and PaisaBazaar.com.
Star India is also promoting the series as “Time for your brand to score big!” in its inaugural campaign for the three-ODI and three T20I tour by the Kiwis.
The broadcaster is expecting another four to six on-air sponsors for the series. New Zealand being the No. 1 T20 side on the International Cricket Council rankings, it gives the broadcaster a good pitch to sell the series, coming immediately after the high-profile Australia tour and the Diwali season.
Each one-day will have an inventory of up to 150 to 170 spots. The broadcaster claims to be getting good demand for the slot. “We will have another four to six brands in addition to the four already on board,” a Star India management source confirmed to insidesport.co. “All the deals will be closed by Diwali.”
New Zealand start their tour of India from Mumbai next week. The Kiwis, on the tour for three one-day and as many T-20 internationals, are scheduled to play two warm up games in Mumbai, also the host city for the first ODI.
The series starting immediately after the Diwali gives the brands a better deal than the matches against Australia, which off course had Diwali and bigger team battle premiums attached to it.
