KKR vs MI in IPL 2021 Predictions: Check what cricket greats predict for Kolkata Knight Riders vs Mumbai Indians game- Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have an abysmal record against Mumbai Indians (MI). In 28 matches, MI have won 21 times with KKR managing just six victories. On batting-friendly tracks like Wankhede and Eden Gardens, Mumbai have been unstoppable. But on Tuesday when Rohit Sharma’s MI face Eoin Morgan’s KKR in Chennai, the slowness of Chepauk could turn the tides. Two experts Ajay Jadeja and Virender Sehwag feel that the KKR spinners will manage to beat Mumbai on such tracks. However, former India cricketer Aakash Chopra has picked Mumbai Indians based on the batsmen’s forms.

KKR vs MI- KKR will win: Ajay Jadeja and Virender Sehwag have picked Kolkata Knight Riders as the favourite to win as they believe KKR’s spinners could get the job done.

KKR vs MI – Ajay Jadeja: “It’s absolutely right that the statistics do favour Mumbai. But the matches have mostly been played in either Mumbai or in Kolkata. When you play in those two venues, the matches are generally high scoring and, in those matches, it’s next to impossible to beat Mumbai. Their batsmen play in those matches brilliantly,” he said on Cricbuzz.

“For the first time, they will be playing in Chennai. Not many times, the two have played on a slow pitch like Chennai. The stats are fact but in the past. Mumbai are the strongest team but Kolkata have the skills to take advantage of the conditions,” he added.

KKR vs MI – Virender Sehwag: “If Quinton de Kock is available, he should play for Mumbai. The partnership he has with Rohit Sharma in the opening is fantastic. Lynn has a different style of play and de Kock as well. My preference would be de Kock. But I also think that Mumbai can struggle in Chennai. The pitch is slow and the big hitters take time to think how to play spinners. Here, Kolkata have a chance to beat Mumbai,” Sehwag said picking KKR as the winner on Cricbuzz.

KKR vs MI – Mumbai will win: However, not every expert is leaning towards KKR. Former India opener Aakash Chopra has picked Mumbai Indians as the winner as he believes MI have enough firepower to beat KKR even on a slow track like MA Chidambaram Stadium.

Aakash Chopra: “Doesn’t matter where they play, Rohit Sharma always plays his best against KKR. After losing the first match, he will be determined to do better. He will score more than 50 and Mumbai will win the match,” Chopra said on his YouTube channel.

KKR vs MI – Undecided: Another former cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar is undecided on who he should favour as the winner. He believes, with the quality both sides have, it is difficult to predict a winner.

“What really excited me with that KKR’s win (against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday) is that you’re not quite sure how the batting order is going to be. Can’t really predict before the game as to what needs to be done. A lot of calls will have to be taken by Mumbai Indians whilst you’re out there. KKR will spring up a few surprises by the looks of it,” Manjrekar told ESPNCricinfo.
