The dashing Indian cricketer KL RAHUL has been signed as brand ambassador for Bengaluru-based health and fitness start-up Cure.fit. Rahul will endorse cure.fit’s new brand CULT, which is a chain of premium fitness centres, to further expand its brand outreach. As per the reports, Cure.fit has entered into a cash and equity agreement with the cricketer. Rahul has impressed all with his exemplary batting skills and work-ethics and has made his presence felt both in domestic and international circuits.
The deal was facilitated by Cornerstone Sport, a brand consultant and talent representation agency.
Commenting on his association with Cult.fit, cricketer K L Rahul said, “I am extremely happy about my association with Cult.fit. As a sportsperson, fitness not only plays a crucial role to enhance on-field performance but also has a positive impact on wellbeing. I am impressed with Cult.fit’s machine-free workouts, which can be practiced by anyone who wishes to be fit and that too without using heavy equipment”
Cure.fit already has celebrity partnerships with Milind Soman and Hrithik Roshan. CULT currently has 17 fully functional centres across Bengaluru; it trains over 7,500 people and generates a monthly revenue of $150,000. It is a non-conventional facility, where people go through group workouts without any mainstream gym equipment, with the help of master trainers.
The firm will soon be launching two more CULT centres in Bengaluru.
Rahul, like his captain, is known for his fitness routines and according to him the association with cure.fit perfectly aligns with his and Indian cricket’s thought process. He also talked about the importance of fitness and how it had helped the Indian team, including him, perform better over the last few years.
“Definitely. It is because of what we do out there (in the gym) and I have learned the importance of fitness in the last three or four years. And now I can see the change the way I behave and how my performances have gotten better day by day. A lot of credit for this is because of my disciplined fitness. Fitness is not just training and weight-lifting, it’s also about taking care of what you eat, and taking care of your recovery,” Rahul explained.
This is first big brand endorsement association for KL Rahul.
