Yusuf Demir was born in Vienna. He was signed by Rapid Vienna in 2013 when he was just 10 years old. He made his debut as a 17-year-old in the Austrian league.
Scouts from Inter Milan, Dortmund, and Salzburg had eyes on him and wanted to bring him their clubs. However, Demir only wanted to play for FC Barcelona.
