Latest update on Riot Games upcoming League of Legends MMO: expected release date and much more. The California-based video game developer, Riot Games is already a giant in the eSports world. It is the most player-focused game developer in the world and boasts famous titles like the League of Legends, VALORANT, and Teamfight Tactics. The League of Legends was released in 2009 and is one of the most famous eSports titles in the world. Recently, Riot Games announced that League of Legends MMO is currently under development and the League of Legends community is all hyped about the new release.
During the previous year, Greg Street, the vice president of Riot Games teased that an MMORPG is on the way in the form of a new League of Legends title. Though Riot games still haven’t come with an official release date for the title, it is speculated that the League of Legends MMO development is in full swing and the game could potentially drop in late 2022 or even some time in mid-2023. Official release date could soon be announced by Riot Games, till then we can just enjoy the League of Legends.

This time, Riot games have also warned the gaming community stating that the new MMORPG might not be for everyone. Greg Street also the executive producer of the title said “One thing I can say about the unannounced MMORPG is you won’t all love every feature in it. We’re going to make some choices that you may not agree in their games. That’s fine. Some of you may not love the game at all. Also fine. We will also make a ton of mistakes. However, [we are] prepared to pivot if the design doesn’t meet goals”.
It’s no doubt that the world of League of Legends is huge, and players would love to explore Runeterra. Cities in the Runeterra region are important for the online game and the diversity of the whole region will propel the game to a new level.
