On the eve of the 2021 Mid- Season Invitational, Riot games revealed the plans to launch League of Legends Wild Rift esports tournaments. The company is planning to apply the lessons in League of Legends Wild Rift which they are using for decade in LoLEsports. They wante to build a similar esports ecosystem in Wild Rift.
Riot Games announces,
“Good news for everyone enjoying Wild Rift! Esports tournaments will kick off this summer with regional competition that will qualify teams from around the world into our first-ever international tournament later this year. More info coming soon.”
Riot Games will launch Worlds of LoL Wild Rift, a International tournament of the game which will take place later this year. Riot belives that mobile gaming will transform the future of gaming and esports. It is still not clear that the regional tournaments and international tournament will feature the live audience or will be online event.
League of Legends Wild Rift tournament will kick off this summer where regional competition will take in fourth quarter of the year. Top teams will proceed to the international tournament. League of Legends Wild Rift International tournament will take place in November- December 2021. With the start of the 2021, Riot Games introduces the first official tournament, ” SEA Icon Series:PreSeason”. This five weeks long event featured teams from Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Taiwan, Singapore, and Philippines where total 54 teams participated in the event.

Riot games also announced some more details about their game titles. VALORANT Stage 3 masters will take place on September 9th-19th. VALORANT Stage 3 Masters will take place in Berlin featuring 16 teams. Winner of the Masters: Berlin will directly seeded into the VALORANT Champions Tour global finals. Riot also planned to start a new podcast which will be available in the Spotify exclusively.
