Globally financial services company Mastercard Inc. has roped in Japanese tennis sensation Naomi Osaka as its brand ambassador. Naomi will support the Mastercard longo on her visors during the matches.
However, the visor is provided by Naomi’s apparel partners Nike. The US sports brand is not known for allowing players to support other brand placements on the outfits. As an exception, Nike has permitted Naomi to carry the logos of Japanese noodle brand Nissin, Japanese airway company ANA and now MasterCard.
Naomi has taken to twitter to reveal her association with Mastercard, which she had already honoured at the Madrid Open.

Naomi’s brand value has increased tremendously since she lifted the US Open trophy in 2018. Japanese multinational personal care company – Shiseido, Japanese car manufacturer Nissan, and luxury watch brand Citizen are some of the latest additions to Naomi’s sponsors list.
Master Card is Naomi’s seventh major corporate endorsement deal since the US Open in August-September last year.
The Mastercard deal comes a month after Naomi had surprised industry watchers by signing up with Nike Inc., switching from the U.S. sports brand’s biggest rival, Adidas AG.
