Melbourne Stars v Hobart Hurricanes : Melbourne Stars opener Marcus Stoinis smashed seven sixes in his unbeaten 97 off 55 balls, Melbourne Stars broke out of their three-match losing streak to register a 10-run win over Hobart Hurricanes. It was a sweet victory, coming after a 21-run defeat to the same team a couple of days ago, when they lost six wickets for 26 runs to slide from a winning position. This time though, they had to overpower a stiff challenge off the bat of Ben McDermott (91 off 58).
Two superb catches from Andre Fletcher. He first caught Ingram at deep cover and then took a blinder to send back McDermott in the 19th over, all but sealing the game. That the wicket-taking delivery from Liam Hatcher was a full toss only added to the importance of that catch. 21 runs off the final over proved too many for the Hurricanes.
