MI vs CSK IPL 2020 : CSK desperately wait for their foreign stars, Chris Lynn joins Mumbai Indians

The IPL defending champions Mumbai Indians are getting stronger by the day. Unlike Chennai Super Kings (CSK) neither any of their squad members have pulled out nor there is a question mark over the availability of any foreign stars for the opening game on September 19th.

To make the Mumbai Indians squad more strong, swashbuckling Australian batsman Chris Lynn arrived here on Tuesday to join his teammates for the upcoming IPL, starting September 19.
Mumbai Indians also informed that Kiwi pacer Trent Boult and Australian speedster, James Pattinson, who was signed as a replacement for veteran Sri Lankan fast bowler Lasith Malinga, had joined the team last week.
The defending champions, led by Rohit Sharma, will take on Chennai Super Kings in the tournament opener of the cash-rich T20 league.
MI vs CSK IPL 2020 : CSK still grappling with unprecedented problems
Contrary to Mumbai squad, troubles for the CSK team in the IPL 2020 seem to be not ending anytime soon. If loss of Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh from the line up wasn’t enough, it is now come to the fore that captain MS Dhoni will have to manage the first two games for CSK without its lead paceman Josh Hazlewood and all rounder Sam Curran.
Both the players are currently on the national duty and can’t reach UAE before 17th Sep evening.
Not only this, Deepak Chahar already is recuperating from Covid-19 is also doubtful for the first few games of IPL 2020.
“We are mindful of it that Josh and Curran will not be available for first 2 games. But Bravo and party should make it for the first game. We have enough firepower and should manage”, says Kasi Viswanathan, CEO of CSK.
Other than this, CSK also has 3 foreign players who are currently playing in the Caribbean Premier League. All rounder Dwayne Bravo, left-arm spinning all-rounder Mitchell Santner and leg-spinner Imran Tahir who would be landing in the UAE on September 12-13th after the completion of the CPL 2020.
After that they will have to complete 6 days quarantine and will be tested 3 times in the process. They too will be doubtful for the opening game against the Mumbai Indians.
This will leave CSK with only all rounder Shane Watson, and paceman Lungi Ngidi as the foreign bowling options for the opening game as they are already with the CSK team in Dubai.

Moved out of India due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 13th edition of the T20 league will be played across the three venues of Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah in the UAE from September 19 to November 10.
