Michael Phelps to open Under Armour ‘brand house’ in Delhi

The most decorated swimmer in history and brand ambassador of the global performance athletic company Under Armour, Michael Phelps will be visiting New Delhi to open the first Under Armour Brand House retail store in India at DLF Promenade mall in New Delhi on March 26, Tuesday.

The American swim star has been a face for performance training for Under Armour for nearly 10 years and is spending time with the brand this week across Delhi and Mumbai as Under Armour launches its own outlets in the country. During his visit, Phelps will also be spending time with youth swimmers as well as be part of training sessions with fitness enthusiasts in Delhi.

Phelps, widely regarded as one of the greatest athletes of all time, holds the record highest number of gold medals and the highest number of Olympic gold medals in an individual event. Phelps, through his successful performance in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, 2008 Beijing Olympics followed by 2012 Summer Olympics in London and 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janerio, became the most successful athlete in swimming for four consecutive Olympics. He captured 28 medals, including a record-setting 23 gold medals, and set 39 world records over the course of his career.
