What were the Kings going to receive as a part of the trade?
Milwaukee was going to send Donte DiVincenzo, Ersan Ilyasova, and D.J. Wilson to the Kings for Bogdanovic and Justin James.
This was after they acquired Jrue Holiday from the New Orleans Pelicans for Eric Bledsoe, George Hill, three future first-round picks, and multiple pick swaps in this year’s NBA Draft.
Bogdanovic averaged 15.1 points per game last season for the Kings. If he was traded to the Bucks, he could take advantage of the additional space created by the defensive attention Giannis attracts as a career 37.4 percent three-point shooter.
Although, the simple fact that this was reported days before free agency began certainly gives the impression of tampering.
Although these investigations tend not to yield much more than an occasional fine. This is a disadvantage for the Bucks as they could have gotten a really good player in Bogdanovic.
Furthermore, their front office is under immense pressure to make the right moves now that Giannis stated the uncertainty about his future with them. So far, the Bucks have done well – landing Jrue Holiday from the Pelicans and almost landing Bogdan Bogdanovic.
