NBA All-Star Game 2021: After 14 seasons in the NBA, Mike Conley is finally an All-Star. On Friday, the league announced that the veteran Utah Jazz point guard will be an injury replacement for Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker. In addition to playing in the All-Star Game on Sunday, Conley will take part in the 3-Point Contest. NBA fans can watch the NBA All-Star Game LIVE here.
Conley was publicly recognized as one of the biggest snubs from the All-Star Game when the reserves were announced last month.
Conley is averaging 16.1 points and 5.7 assists per game, while shooting a career-high 42.2 percent from 3-point land. He has been a key factor in the Jazz claiming the best record in the league after the first half of the season.
Phoenix Suns’ guard Devin Booker would have make his second-straight All-Star appearance, joining teammate Chris Paul in Atlanta.
Davis will miss the All-Star Game after suffering a right calf strain against the Denver Nuggets on Feb. 14, with the Lakers’ star set to be re-evaluated following the All-Star break.
“There’s no doubt about it. No one can debate that Book’s not an all-star,” Suns head coach Williams said earlier this week. “End of story. The impact on winning, the numbers, and we have a few wins. So from my perspective, I don’t think you’ll find any coach in the league that would debate that he isn’t an All-Star. End of story.”
