NBA Free Agency 2020: Toronto Raptors star Fred VanVleet signs with China’s brand Li-Ning ahead of Free Agency trade

NBA Free Agency 2020: Toronto Raptors star Fred VanVleet will join CJ McCollum and D’Angelo Russell to partner up with the Chinese brand Li-Ning. VanVleet is one of the top free agents this season and while many speculate if he will stay in the Toronto Raptors or not, he is set to sign a deal with Li-Ning.

Last year VanVleet had signed to become the face of the AND1 brand. The deal that only lasted one year is set to be terminated in the coming days.

D’Angelo Russell signed with the brand last season and wears models from Dwayne Wade’s “Way of Wade” line. Wade is still the brand’s most prolific athlete, as his deal with Li-Ning continues even after he has retired.

VanVleet wore Nike sneakers early in his career before switching to Adidas and then AND1. It is certain that Li-Ning won him over with a bid that was pretty tough to overcome, based on his climbing form as a leading player in the NBA.

VanVleet enters the free agency period after averaging 17.6 points and 6.6 assists over 54 regular-season games with the Raptors in the 2019-20 season.

In the postseason, he improved his averages to 19.6 points and 6.9 assists in 11 games.

Here is the latest schedule for the NBA 2020-21 season:

NBA Draft – 18th of November

Free Agency – 20th of November

Training Camp – 1st of December

NBA Season Start – 22nd of December
