NBA Play In Tournament: Lakers vs Warriors Play In Golden State Warriors’ forward Draymond Green said that he is ‘Excited as Hell’ for their match against the LA Lakers.
The Lakers will face the Golden State Warriors in their Play-In Tournament match to fight for a place in the NBA Playoffs 2021.
In LeBron James’ eyes, his Los Angeles Lakers will be up against the league MVP in Wednesday’s Western Conference play-in tournament.
He told reporters Stephen Curry is “the MVP of our league this year,” adding that the Golden State Warriors star “has had, in my opinion, the best season all year.”

LeBron James and Stephen Curry have squared off four times for championships, back in the days of those Warriors-Cleveland matchups in the NBA Finals being annual events.
They’ll square off Wednesday for a slightly different prize — the No. 7 seed in the West playoffs, but it’ll still be a game loaded with hype and intrigue.

That’s a different stance than the one the three-time All-Star expressed in April when he told reporters that “fighting for a play-in spot does not motivate me.“
Given, Green may have said something else if he knew with confidence the Lakers would be waiting after Golden State finished eighth in the Western Conference.
Simply getting to this point is an accomplishment for the Warriors after they lost Klay Thompson to a season-ending injury for the second straight year.
No matter what might happen beyond that, sending the Lakers packing and denying their bid for a second straight title would be a satisfying outcome for Golden State.
