NBA Playoffs 2021 – LA Lakers Knocked Out: The defending champions LA Lakers have been knocked out in the 1st Round by the Phoenix Suns.

The last NBA Champions to get knocked out in 1st round of the NBA Playoffs were the San Antonio Spurs in 2015.

The Lakers had a very unlucky season as both LeBron James and Anthony Davis were out for most of the NBA regular season.

The Phoenix Suns will go up against the Denver Nuggets who knocked out the Portland Trail Blazers in 1st Round.

The Lakers came back to tie the series 1-1 against the Suns. They will now play at Staples Center in Game 3. After a poor Game 1, Anthony Davis came back strong. He had 34 points, 7 assists, and 10 rebounds in a huge game that was live till the last second.

The Lakers shot 45% from the field. Chris Paul had a night to forget as he only managed to score 6 points. Deandre Ayton grabbed a double-double and Booker scored 31 points.

The Lakers took a 2-1 lead before heading back to Los Angeles to play in the Staples Center. This was LeBron James’ 1st playoff game for the Lakers at the Staples Center.

Anthony Davis had a double-double, he scored 31 points and had 11 assists. LeBron James had a great game overall. 4x NBA Champ scored 21 points, dished out 9 assists, and had 6 rebounds.

The Lakers had a poor shooting percentage from the 3-point line but still continued to take the lead in the series.

The Suns tied the series after winning Game 4 before heading back to Phoenix. A total of 6 players from 9 who played in this match scored in double digits. Deandre Ayton had a fantastic outing with 14 points and 17 rebounds.

The Lakers were poor in this game. They shot 39.5% from the field and 32.5% from the 3-point line. They also turned the ball over 15 times.

Devin Booker scored 30 points after two quiet games and the Phoenix Suns sent LeBron James to the locker room early, dismantling the Los Angeles Lakers 115-85 Tuesday night to take a 3-2 first-round series lead.

The Suns won in Los Angeles on Sunday to tie the series and went right at the Anthony Davis-less Lakers in front of a revved-up crowd in Game 5.

Game 6 will be back in the Staples Center. It is still not confirmed whether Anthony Davis will be available for that.

The Phoenix Suns have knocked out LeBron James and the Lakers in the 1st Round of the NBA Playoffs.

Credit has to be given to Devin Booker who has been exceptional in this series. In game 6, Booker had 47 points, 3 assists, and 11 rebounds. The Lakers were unlucky with Davis’ early exit after he tried to play through injury.

The Suns will now face the Nuggets in the Conference Semi-Finals.
