Neville Bastawalla will be the new Marketing Head for Sony Pictures Network India’s (SPNI) sports cluster.
Precisely two months after Kedar Teny had put in papers to relinquish his position as the Marketing Head for the Sony Sports Cluster, SPNI has moved its English Channels Marketing Head Bastawalla to take charge.
The information has been shared among the senior management internally. An official announcement is expected over the next few days.
“Bastawalla has been shifted from one position to another. But there is no change in his official as the Senior Vice-President in the organisation,” a source in SPNI confirmed to insidesport.co.
For the media marketing veteran Bastawalla it will be his first stint with sports. In a career spanning a decade in media industry, he has been the Hindi Movies Cluster Marketing head at Star India for three years, before moving in to SPNI where he has been in charge for marking of English Movie assets since 2013. Prior to his TV sojourn, he was the Marketing Head at Mid-Day Infomedia for three years.
During his formative years, Bastawalla has also served the brands like Nickeloden, HSBC, Walt Disney Company, Contract Advertising and Mudra communications, DDB India.
Kedar Teny had put in his papers in October. He was reported to be heading to join a start-up Tilt Brands.
