The French tennis federation – Federation Francaise de Tennis – has committed all proceeds from the New Philippe-Chatrier Courts at Roland Garros inauguration event for a charity.
The Philippe-Chatrier Courts opening at Roland Garros with the a newly-installed roof that covers one hectare of area will be inaugurated later tonight (Saturday).
A sound and light show entitled “Terre de rencontres’’ will celebrate the end of an incredible transformation of the iconic Roland-Garros court. Celebrities from the world of tennis and international DJs will ensure the festive atmosphere throughout the evening and various surprises are also on the agenda.

The tickets for the event this evening in Paris have been priced at € 225. All the benefits from the evening will be allocated to the FFT Foundation which sponsors an array of educational, cultural, social and sporting projects.
The New Philippe-Chatrier Courts will be the central court for the third Grand Slam of the year, slated from May 18 to June 7 at the Rolland Garros
