Brazilian football star Neymar has been announced by Chinese electronics brand TCL as global brand ambassador.

The endorsement deal runs for two years and will see the 26-year-old star in TCL television and print commercials to promote the company’s TCL Multimedia TV business and TCL household appliances. He will also participate in various online and offline marketing campaigns for the brand.

Neymar, who became the world’s most expensive football player last year August when Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) purchased Barcelona star for €222 million ($275m), will also work with TCL on a series of charity-focused initiatives.

The deal is the latest personal endorsement signed by Neymar after partnering with mobile technology company Digible in January to launch a new app. Neymar, in 2017, has also signed deals with Brazilian coffee brand Pilão and domestic smartphone manufacturer Quantum.

Neymar is also sponsored by Nike, Gillette, Panasonic, Red Bull and Beats by Dre (Beats Electronics). According to Forbes, the young footballer’s annual earnings from these endorsement deals is estimated at $ 22 million.
