Nike celebrates Nadal heroics; special edition sneakers, video

Sunday at the Rolland Garros belonged to Rafael Nadal – the first man to complete an epochal 10th title on the red clay of Paris. The brand that has supported the legend during this historic journey was ready to celebrate. With everything special. Nadal scored the winning point, and Nike release a video to describe what does No. 10 stand for:

On court, Nadal was in a special edition sneaker with a “9” engraved on the heels, depicting his nine titles on Rolland Garros.

To make die-hard Nadal fans a part of this historic achievement, the brand a limited-edition shoe. The sneaker, dubbed NikeCourt Tennis Classic El Decimo, is part of an exclusive footwear and apparel line to honor the Spanish player’s 10th French Open championship.

A limited release, the NikeCourt Tennis Classic El Decimo will release on June 12th exclusively at Nike Paris Champs-Élysées.

Nike has a $10 million per annum  five yearly endorsement deal with Nadal. A total of $50 million for the 2014 to 2018 contract.
