Norway based low-cost airline Norwegian Air Shuttle has inked a deal with National Basketball Association (NBA) to become the presenting partner of NBA London Game 2019.
The annual regular-season game of professional basketball league will see Washington Wizards taking on New York Knicks at The O2 arena on January 17, 2019 in the English capital.
In addition to being the Presenting Partner of the NBA London Game 2019, Norwegian Airline will receive prominent brand exposure, including event logo inclusion, oncourt and in-arena signage, along with creating bespoke content with NBA legends and hosting fan activations and promotions leading up to and during the game.
As part of the partnership, Norwegian will offer fans the chance to win tickets to the NBA London Game 2019. In addition, they will give fans the opportunity to travel to experience a 2018-19 regular-season game in the United States.
Director of marketing at Norwegian, Stine Børke, said: “Norwegian currently serves 12 US destinations from the UK and this exciting partnership will increase our brand presence to a wide audience on both sides of the Atlantic.”
NBA has also announced the expansion of its deal with popular Chinese smartphone brand Vivo in the first week of October as its presenting partner for NBA China games from 2018 to 2020. The deal between BBK Electronics owned brand and NBA was first signed in 2016.
Last week, Chinese fintech firm X Financial inked a deal with NBA to come on board as the official marketing partner of NBA China games.
