Facebook has given Peter Hutton the additional responsibility of overseeing sports partnerships in EMEA, Latin America and APAC.
The social media platform has announced a restructuring of its sports team, promoting Dan Reed as vice-president of global sports and media partnerships.
Reed’s new role will now go beyond sport to manage two other teams – Global media Accounts and media community development.
This will mean that Hutton, Director of Global Sports Partnerships and Programming, and Brandon Gayle, Director of Global sports partnerships and Solutions, will take on additional responsibilities in the sports team.
Hutton, along with leading Facebook’s sports programming, will now oversee day-to-day sports partnerships in EMEA, Latin America and APAC. Gayle, in addition to leading North America sports partnerships, will now manage the global partner solutions team. Both will continue to report to Reed.
A former Eurosport CEO, Hutton had joined Facebook in January last year.
