Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli has been revealed as a new brand ambassador for Philips India’s male grooming products.
The 29-year-old was presented by Philips as the company launched its Trimmer BT 3000 Series. He is expected to front a number of activations for the company, although no concrete terms have been announced regarding Kohli’s contract with the Dutch electronics giant.
Philips India’s Trimmers BT 3000 social media campaign with Kohli has also become viral.
“Philips personal care products are synonymous with innovation and excellence in performance, something that I strive towards,” Kohli said. “I love my beard to be always perfectly styled. I use Philips Trimmer and it’s a great product to groom my beard into any style that feels right to me.”
Dipti Jagdev Shah, senior marketing director & business head of Philips Personal Care, added: “To associate with Virat Kohli is a natural choice, his beard is the most loved aspect of this stylish youth icon and Virat personifies our brand philosophy of the modern man flawlessly.
“He embodies the inner confidence to stand-up for what feels right to him. ‘Do what feels right’ is Philips’ powerful call to action to encourage Indian men to follow their instinct and do what feels right.”
