PKL 2021: Top 5 raiders who will go under hammer in Pro Kabaddi League Auction – Pro Kabaddi League is all set to make its return after two years and the franchises have decided to release most of their players including their star raiders ahead of PKL 2021. Pradeep Narwal was released by Patna Pirates while Rohit Kumar was released by Bengaluru Bulls and Rahul Chaudhari was not retained by Telugu Titans. Many star raiders were up for grabs because of these releases.

Pradeep Narwal 

Pradeep Narwal is one of the most successful raiders in the history of the Pro Kabaddi League. He was not retained by his franchise Patna Pirates. He is the only raider to have scored over 1000 raid points. As of Season 7, the raider held the record for the most points in a single season (369) and the most points in a single raid (8) while becoming the first to multiple 300-point campaigns.

Rahul Chaudhari 

Kabaddi’s Poster Boy Rahul Chaudhari is one of the most consistent players in the history of Pro Kabaddi League. He was not retained by Tamil Thaliavs ahead of PKL 2021 auction. In Season 7, Chaudhari became the second man to score 1000 points in the league.

Deepak Hooda

Jaipur Pinkpanther’s captain Deepak Hooda was not retained by the franchise ahead of PKL 2021 auction. Deepak is a raider who can defend if his team need it. In Pro Kabaddi he has scored 90% of his points through raiding. He is third on the list of highest raid points in the history of the Pro Kabaddi League with 856 points in 123 matches. 

Ajay Thakur

Veteran kabaddi player Ajay Thakur was released by the Tamil franchise. He has consistently been among the leading raiders of Pro Kabaddi since its inception. He has also been a part of a number of last-minute victories for his side and was the hero of India’s 2016 Kabaddi World Cup triumph. His calm demeanour under pressure earned him the nickname ‘Iceman’. Ajay still has two-three years of Kabaddi left in him. 

Rohit Kumar 

Former Bengaluru Bulls captain Rohit Kumar, established himself as a star performer in his debut season itself with Patna Pirates as he scored 109 points and was adjudged the Most Value Player of Season 3. In Season 5, he picked up 32 points in a single match against U.P. Yoddha to cement his name among the best in the sport. Over the years, he has also proved his leadership ability and capacity to remain calm under pressure and Season 6 saw him lead Bengaluru Bulls to the Pro Kabaddi crown. Now that he has not been retained there are many teams who are looking for a captain and Rohit Kumar can be that option.
