Sony Ten 1 has significantly gained to jump to the second sport (first among paid channels) from No. 4 in the previous week. The channel enjoys on the strength of its committed WWE audience.
It is Vivo Pro Kabaddi League all over in the sports genre top five shows list. The kabaddi viewers in rural India, enjoying free access to Vivo PKL on Star Sports First have constantly outnumbered the average viewership for any other sports show during the week. Matches involving Puneri Paltan attract more eyeballs than any other game. This is well established by the fact that all the top five sports shows for the week are Pune’s Vivo PKL matches.
The battle for supremacy in the BARC ratings will be more intense next week as the FIFA World Cup Finals and Vivo PKL have entered the decisive rounds and Star Sports will be back on its cricketing strength with the India-New Zealand series.
