Premier League 2020-21: Richarlison’s strike takes Everton level with defending champions- Everton can boost their hopes for a top-four finish with the first victory at home.

Richarlison’s scored for the third straight fixture as Everton defeated Southampton 1-0 to win their first home game of 2021 and move level with Liverpool in a top-four fight.

On the other hand, Southampton are now winless in their last 9 matches in Premier League. They stay 14th on 30 points, seven points ahead of the relegation battle.

Everton will play West Brom on March 4 while Southampton will face Sheffield United on March 6.

Manager Ancelotti said, “We have a great opportunity.”

“I don’t know for how long it will be, maybe for one day, or two or three, but we would like to touch the position, so we have to put all our fight into the game on Thursday. We have to try to see how we feel if we are there,” he added.
