Five individuals have tested positive for coronavirus during the latest round of testing across the Premier League
1,128 players and club officials were tested between October 5-11.
That figure sees the number of positive cases fall from nine positive cases last week.
Those who tested positive for Covid-19 have not been identified and will now self-isolate for a period of 10 days.
“The Premier League can today confirm that between Monday 5 October and Sunday 11 October, 1,128 players and club staff were tested for COVID-19,” the Premier League said in a statement.
“Of these, there were five new positive tests. Players or club staff who have tested positive will self-isolate for a period of 10 days.”
