Thomas Tuchel made 7 changes to the side that beat Manchester City. He brought in Kepa, Thiago Silva, Zouma, Jorginho, Mount, Havertz, and Chilwell.
Arteta made 5 changes to his squad as Mari, Tierney, Partey, Odegaard, and Aubameyang all make it to the starting lineup.
Chelsea vs Arsenal: It was a frustrating night for Chelsea who was the better team all along. They had 68% of the possession and 19 shots at Arsenal goal.
Jorginho’s poor back pass had Kepa scrambling back to push it off the line but Aubameyang was there at a tight angle. He was helped by Smith-Rowe as the Gabon international slotted the rebound for a simple tap-in in the 16th minute.
At half-time, Tuchel brought in Hudson-Odoi in place of Billy Gilmour. Chelsea’s bad luck continued when Christian Pulisic’s header was judged offside by VAR.
The corner was whipped in the 61st minute and Havertz rose the highest. While Pulisic was not offside when the corner was initially taken he had strayed too forward when the German flicked the ball to him.
Arsenal completes their 1st Premier League double over Chelsea since 2004 and marks their first win at Stamford Bridge since 2011.
